Privacy at a glance
IntelliAM Scanner is an offline Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) diagnostic tool. IntelliAM does not collect or transmit your personal information, location, scan results or sensor information to IntelliAM servers.
About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the IntelliAM Scanner Android application (the “App”), provided by IntelliAM, accesses and handles information. It applies only to IntelliAM Scanner and not to other IntelliAM products or services.
Information the App accesses
The App may access or process the following information on your device:
- Nearby Bluetooth device information: BLE advertisements, sensor names or serial identifiers, Bluetooth addresses and received signal strength (RSSI). This is used to find, identify and assess nearby CTC sensors.
- Location permission on older Android versions: Android may require foreground location permission to perform BLE scanning. The App does not request your GPS coordinates, track your location or use location for advertising or analytics.
- User-selected files: if you choose an image or floor plan for sensor mapping, the App accesses only the file you select through Android’s system file picker.
- App settings and locally created information: preferences, sensor mapping information and temporary scan results needed to provide the App’s features.
Collection and use
IntelliAM Scanner does not send App data to IntelliAM or to an IntelliAM server. The App does not contain advertising, user accounts or analytics. Information is processed locally to provide live sensor scanning, serial-number search, closer-or-further signal guidance, signal visualisation and sensor mapping.
Sharing
The App does not automatically share information. If you choose the App’s Share or Export feature, Android displays its system share sheet and you decide which application or person receives the exported sensor list. Information you share is then handled under the privacy terms of the destination you select.
Storage, retention and deletion
Temporary scan results are held locally only as needed for the current App session. App preferences, selected floor plans and saved mapping information may remain in the App’s private storage until you remove them, clear IntelliAM Scanner’s storage in Android settings or uninstall the App. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them and must be deleted from that location separately.
Security
Locally retained information is stored within Android’s application storage and is subject to the security controls of your device. Because the App does not transmit scan information to IntelliAM, IntelliAM does not maintain a remote copy of that information.
Children
IntelliAM Scanner is a technical diagnostic tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the App’s features or data practices change. The latest version will remain available at this address, with its effective date shown above.
